Disposing of Waste after a Flood Damage

6/21/2018 (Permalink)

There is no way around it; flood damage will likely ruin some of your belongings no matter how much drying you do. No amount of air movement will bring back items that have been contaminated by flood water.

Porous Materials are Contaminated

Dispose of all the porous materials responsibly and make room for your water damage restoration. Our technicians will do all the demo of contaminated materials. Walls will have some of the drywall removed and anything else that is wooden. Tack strip and baseboards will also be torn out of the home and replaced.

How to recover from flood damage?

After all the contaminated items are removed and disposed of your home will be disinfected and dried. The air movers will have the area dried in 3-5 days depending on the extent of the flooding.
